Legal Consequences of Embezzlement

Under Title 21 §1451(B) & (C) of the Oklahoma Statutes Annotated, you can Embezzlement crimesfind the penalties for embezzlement.  Further, these follow a hierarchy of amount of money in the scheme.

  1. $500 or less = fines reaching $1,000 and possibility of one year in prison.
  2. $500-$1,000 = fines reaching $5,000 plus any restitution to victims and a possible year prison term.
  3. $1,000-$25,000 = this amount is a felony crime with $5,000 fines and restitution, plus up to five years in prison.
  4. Over $25,000 = felony charges with fines reaching $10,000 and restitution, plus ten years in prison.
